Project Engineer

Midwest Finishing Systems is a leader in the design, fabrication, and installation of complete turnkey systems for industrial finishing and powder coating applications. We are seeking a highly-skilled, collaborative Project Engineer to join our growing company. Engineer Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.

• Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.

• Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.

• Supervises the progress of the development project.

• Compares actual cost of the development project to estimates.

• Collaborates with the design group to change plans if problems arise.

• Analyzes equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.

• Prepares periodic progress reports for leadership and customer.

• Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.

Project Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:

• Degreed Engineer is preferred, but not necessary with the right experience level.

• Minimal travel will be required during the project from assessing the initial job site to delivery and installation.

• Proficient in Auto-Cad, Solid Works would be a definite plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
